Are we about to see a new MMO announcement from Mythic and EA?
Two things are clear here though...
1) Mythic have registered a new domain for a previously canned MMO.
2) Mythic have a special announcement next week.

I dunno ... a futuristic MMO ... with SWTOR coming out I can't imagine EA would roll out something even remotely similar.

From all the tidbits I've picked up on blogs and the web it seems there will be multiple announcements. Apparently we could hear something about Ultima Online, DAOC, WAR, and now perhaps this.
One week to go!
For all we know it could be simply renewing the IP in some way so it cannot be taken by another company so I'm not reading too much into it. I also find it hard to imagine Mythic maintaining a 4th MMO and as you said, this would clash with SWTOR.

I'm going to have to agree with Lokax. This looks like a simple renew/transfer of the domain name. The link below shows that it has been in use for quite a while.

All evidence (and Mythic) point towards the announcement being about WAR. It was said in the WAR newsletter, the WAR producer and community rep are going to Gamescom, they also want to talk about the news at Warhammer's Gamesday in Balt...
